Farm visits

Normally we do allow farm visits to those who have submitted an application that has been approved, as well as serious potential families. Unfortunately, we are not open to the public and do not allow any visitors in our pens, stalls, or to interact with any piglets before weaning or in which they have not placed a deposit. This is due to bio security measures and wishing to keep our home private. If you have placed a deposit we may be able to bring out your pig to see if it’s before pick up day but just know pigs aren’t immediately trusting & it won’t be like laying in a pool of puppy kisses! More likely than not it will be a lot of pig squeals and pig wrangling. If you are interested in this visit, please see the next section on Good Faith Deposits.

good faith deposit

We do happily allow you to see our pigs that are visible from our yard, in order to reference our parent sizes if there is an approved application & a good faith deposit of $25. The $25 will go towards the adoption price. These good-faith appointments are at our discretion. The visit will need to be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance & will need to be paid at that time. These appointments will start at the mutually agreed upon time & will guarantee you a 45 minute slot. We will be available the entire time to answer questions for you. Please be aware that these appointments are only available in warmer weather.

late cancellation policy

The appointment will start promptly at that time & if you are late, your time will not be adjusted. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will be cancelled, the $25 good-faith deposit will be forfeited & in order to reschedule, another $25 good-faith deposit will be required. This is also up to the discretion of The Kost Family Farm. None of our good-faith deposits are refundable so please keep that in mind when scheduling your appointment.
